About KMEA

Korean Medical Entrepreneurship Association (KMEA)

“KMEA is the foundation of Korea’s medical entrepreneurship ecosystem.”

The Korean Medical Entrepreneurship Association (KMEA) is a nonprofit organization uniting medical students, interns, and residents from across Korea’s 40 medical schools. Our mission is to cultivate global leaders in the healthcare industry by providing entrepreneurial education, fostering innovation, and building a collaborative network of future physician-entrepreneurs.

KMEA supports its members through a range of initiatives, including structured study programs, entrepreneurship curricula, hospital and healthcare company tours, nationwide hackathons, and large-scale forums to showcase outcomes and ideas. These activities empower members with foundational knowledge in business, innovation, investment, and medical technology.

Through our academic division, we also connect medical researchers—both students and practicing physicians—to collaborate, exchange insights, and generate synergy in clinical and translational research.

With over 400 active members and growing, KMEA is committed to shaping the future of global medical entrepreneurship—where doctors are not only caregivers, but also key innovators and leaders in the healthcare ecosystem.
